1971-2021 50 years!
Hi Fellow Thunderbolts,
We would like to let you know about a few other things that we have planned for our 50th Reunion Weekend!
First, you all should have seen the e-mail about the Golf Outing that John Callahan is putting together. It will be held on Friday, June 24th. If you are interested, please contact John at johnc1040(at)yahoo.com by May 15th. The cost is $71.00 for 18 holes of golf and a golf cart.
We have two other events planned. The first one is a tour of Cranston East! It will be held on Friday, June 24th, sometime in the afternoon. We’ll let you know the exact time once it has been finalized. For this event, we need to know who is interested in attending. If you are interested, please let me know. Just reply to this e-mail. And, if there is something that you would really like to see – like the new gym, please let us know.
The final event we have planned is a Sunday in the Park. We have reserved Site F in Goddard Park for Sunday, June 25th. We have it for the whole day. No need to let us know if you plan on attending. Just show up. Site F includes a sheltered gazebo, 10 picnic tables and 2 charcoal grills. It is right next to the rest rooms and has a large grassy area. It includes picnic sites 66 – 76 as shown on the attached map.
A final reminder – if you haven’t filled out Teddy deCaro’s “WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE CHSE CLASS OF ’71?” survey, you still have time. She would like to have all of your replies by tomorrow. You can e-mail Teddy at teddydecaro(at)gmail.com .

RECAP:
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, catching up with classmates that they hadn’t seen in quite a while. There were so many classmates there (over 100 of us), that there just wasn’t enough time to see everyone!
We just wanted to share some fun facts with you about the attendees. In all, we had 152 people sign up for the Reunion. That included 114 Classmates and 38 Guests. There were a few people who signed up but weren’t able to make it. On the night of the Reunion, we had just over 100 Classmates in attendance, and just over 20 guests.
We had classmates from 20 different states, as well as one from New Zealand – Bill Dube! I think he wins the prize for travelling the furthest to get here. Thanks Bill!
By far, the State was with the largest turnout was little Rhody, We had 70 classmates from RI sign up. That was followed by MA with 19. Here is a complete breakdown by State:

Whether you still live in RI, or travelled long distances to get here, it was great seeing all of you again! Hopefully we will do this again in another 4 years when the Class of 1971 celebrates out 55th Reunion.
